How much does Rock Your Screens cost?

The app is free. If you host videos on Cloudflare R2 (recommended), the first 10 GB of storage is free each month, then about $0.015 per GB per month. Video downloads to your Apple TVs are always free, and the Workers free plan allows 100,000 requests a day.

What do we need?

Rock RMS 19 or later, a Rock administrator for the one-time setup, and an Apple TV with tvOS 18 or later in each room. Setup takes about an hour.

Does it change anything in our Rock?

The Apple TV never changes anything. It connects with a read-only key that can view content but can’t edit it. The one-time setup script adds five content channels, a shared field set and a file type for Rock Your Screens; it doesn’t touch your existing data.

Good to know: because of how Rock’s REST security works, the key can read all of your content channels, not only the Rock Your Screens ones. Don’t put sensitive information in content channels if that concerns you.

Where do our slides and videos live?

Slide images live in your Rock. Videos live in your church’s own Cloudflare R2 bucket, through a small Worker you set up. Rock Your Screens has no servers and never sees your content. Your domain does not need to be on Cloudflare.

Can we use PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva or Google Slides?

Yes. Export the deck as a PDF and drop it into Load Screens. Each page becomes one slide. You can also upload JPG and PNG images, MP4 videos, or a curriculum ZIP, which is unpacked in file-name order.

Can we use Vimeo or YouTube links?

No. Media URLs must link straight to a file (.mp4, .jpg, .png), not to a Vimeo, YouTube or Google Drive page. Upload the video file through Load Screens instead. There’s no size limit.

Does it work offline?

Not yet. Today the Apple TV loads slides and videos from your Rock and your video storage each time, so it needs a network connection. Saving the week ahead of time for offline use is planned for a future update.

Can we use it in many rooms and ministries?

Yes. Kids, students, adults and lobby screens all run from one app. Install it on each Apple TV and connect with the same Rock address and read-only key; each teacher picks their own ministry, room and week. Levels a ministry doesn’t need can be skipped, and levels with only one choice are skipped automatically on the TV.

Can it run a lobby screen on a loop?

Yes. Turn on auto-advance in the Apple TV’s Settings. Image slides advance on a timer, videos advance when they finish, and the deck loops. A single video never loops on its own.

Can we try it before setting up Rock?

Yes. On the first screen, choose Try demo content. It shows every feature with built-in sample slides and a video, no Rock server needed.

Is Rock Your Screens made by Spark Development Network?

No. Rock Your Screens is an independent app by Betis Apps and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Spark Development Network. Rock RMS is a product of Spark Development Network.

Where do I get the app?

Rock Your Screens is free on the App Store for Apple TV (tvOS 18 or later). Search for it on your Apple TV, or use the link on this site.
